2007

Monday 17th September Opening night. Bring along prints, slides and digital images including those taken on the 2007 Bakewell Photographic Circle's Annual Outing to Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head and Bridlington. A trophy and prize will be awarded for the best image taken on the outing. Friends and prospective new members are welcome to join us for an informal evening.

Monday 1st October John Jones ARPS BPE 5* "Portrait of Skokholm Island, Pembrokeshire - the Skokholm experience" John runs photographic courses on the island in early June and September each year and is well known for his wildlife and natural history photography. You will see a very close up view of this beautiful location.
Last date for members to bring prints, slides and digital images for the NEMPF 2009 Annual Exhibition selection of the Circle's entry.

Monday 15th October First Leg of the Bi-Monthly competition. Judge Bill Hall AFIAP DPAGB BPE4*

Monday 29th October "There's more to A-V than pictures and sound". Howard Gregory and Suzanne Walker ARPS, two of the four founder members of the Wilmslow A-V Guild, gold medal winners since 1993. Howard and Suzanne are winners of top national and international A-V awards and hold day schools and courses on A-V They specialise in sound recording and soundtrack production. One not to be missed.

Monday 5th November "An evening with Colin New". Another visit from Colin with his superb prints, and his recent Arts Council A-V on the united villages project.

Monday 19th November Second leg of the Bi-Monthly competition. Judge Jack Byatt
Last date for selection for the Inter-Club competition on the 3rd December. Please bring your prints and slides.

Monday 3rd December Inter club competition between Bakewell v Ashbourne v Matlock. This year hosted by Bakewell. Judge John Jones ARPS BPE5*

Monday 17th December Christmas party. Les Nixon DPAGB BPE2* one of our own members, will show us a short presentation "Austin Maxi from Colombo to Nepal" and Garry Wingrove will give us a Quiz. The entertainment will be followed by our usual excellent buffet supper.

2008

Saturday 5th January. Opening and trophy presentation of the NEMPF Exhibition at Eastwood. The exhibition will be be on display from the 5th January to the 2nd February.

Monday 7th January Members' Night. Ten Minute presentations by members followed by "A session of photographic enjoyment" where members can showcase their best images.

Monday 21st January Third Leg of the Bi-Monthly Competition. Judge Rob Palmer ARPS AFIAP

Monday 4th February "From pursuit to passion to profession (2)"A return visit by Ashley Franklin LBPPA. Ashley, an ex radio Derby broadcaster, charts his career in photography from early club days through to present day professional work. He now broadcasts on Saga radio and is features writer and photographer on Derbyshire Life and Countryside, film and theatre critic. Another splendid evening's entertainment.

Monday 18th February Last Leg of the Bi-Monthly competition. Judge Martin Litchfield CPAGB.

Monday 3rd March Terry Irons, Digital Co-ordinator of Sheffield Photographic Society, will give us another fascinating and informative Digital Workshop.

Monday 17th March The 2008 NEMPF Exhibition Slide show with commentary and music. A chance to see the best work in the exhibition.

Monday 31st March Theme competition "Street Life" The images submitted must have been taken after 23rd April 2007, the date of the 65TH AGM. Judge Peter Yeo FRPS DPAGB APAGB

Monday 7th April Annual Competition. Judge David Gibbins ARPS AFIAP

Thursday 10th April Five Clubs Print competition hosted by Bakewell. The competing clubs are Sheffield, Newark, Dronfield, James Maude and Bakewell. Judge Bill Hall AFIAP DPAGB BPE4* (to be confirmed)

Monday 21st April 66th Annual General Meeting

Sunday 11th May Annual outing to Whitby with a train excursion from Goathland to Whitby

Monday 19th May Annual Dinner. Presentation of Trophies. Exhibition of winning prints, slides and digital images, also entertainment provided by members, after the Dinner. Members and invited guests are welcome.
